Perimenopause is the body’s natural transition toward menopause, but it doesn’t happen overnight — it’s a slow and sometimes bumpy ride. In the video, Dr. Altizer explains that this stage often begins in the mid-to-late 30s or 40s, and it’s marked by shifting hormones — especially a gradual decline in estrogen.
